3. HISTORICAL ASOLO-CORNUDA WALK – 14KM NORDIC WALKING

BRIEF DESCRIPTION: This itinerary is organized by Duerocche Council together with Nordic Walking Montello and starts from the historical centre of ASOLO, one of the most charming villages of Italy, and ends in Cornuda. The track connects the citadels of Asolo and Cornuda, through historical paths in the Colli Asolani and Cornudesi. Not only is the journey characterized by suggestive panoramic glimpses on the plain, Prealpi Trevigiane and Grappa massif, but also by constant latches. For this reason, the walker should be a little trained.

STARTING POINT: all participants will take a bus from Cornuda to Cipressina parking, where they will be directed to the “free” starting point in the city centre of Asolo. This will happen until the arrival of the latest bus and no further than 10 am. All couriers, which are Nordic Walking Montello instructors, will help the participants with some technical notions during the trail.

MEDICAL CERTIFICATE: to participate in the historical walk/Nordic walking Duerocche Council does not ask for the medical certificate, but the athlete must have done the annual medical examination (DM 24th April 2013)

BUS DEPARTURES: bus departures start at 7.15 near the sports facilities in Via della Pace – Cornuda (TV). All athletes will be carried for the Cornuda-Asolo route exclusively and solely for the start. Given the high number of participants and busses it is the organizer’s task to plan and communicate on the spot all the details of the departures. The organizers strongly suggest the athletes to be at the meeting point as soon as they can in order to avoid the crowd in the latest available bus, which offers only 50 seats and will leave at 9.30 am. All people who will be there later will be redirected to the 12 km trail which departure is planned at Cornuda sports facilities.

REGISTRATION TERMS AND LIMITED ACCESS: Registration is possible up to max. 400 athletes. Registration can be made only ONLINE by the 11th April and payments can be made through credit card (with no bank charges) or bank transfer.
